One

Thank You.

Thank you for being my keeper.

I remember when the arrows began flying

And the terrors of the night came to eat up my flesh.

I remember when the pestilence was stalking in the darkness

And destruction kept calling me by name.

I remember when the walls of that pit seemed to close in on my hope

And tomorrow always seemed like a distant land.

You saw me.

Eyes locked like a father seeing his daughter for the first time.

And when you called my name

It’s like creation paused in anticipation of the union.

As if the stars stood in awe of Your pursuit

And the moon wore a smile larger than my heart’s response.

It was a love story’s beginning.

A place I felt worthy of being kept

And to this this day it has been the greatest contentment I’ve ever met.

Two

Remind me that it’s all about You.

All honor is always due.

Even nature worships you.

The clouds remind me that Your are holy

As they often break under the weight of Your glory.

Raining promises that remind me that nothing else matters.

Nothing at all.

Compared to you, it’s all too small,

Every other god has flaw

But not You, You reign above them all.

All honor, all glory, all worship is due

for ALL is vanity with YOU.

Three

It feels good to be free.

To know  that my salvation doesnt rely on my sufficiency

and Your goodness and mercy just keeps chasing me.

You are my freedom song.

My spirit sings of its liberation.

My heart dances upon the rhythm of Your love. It has sunken deep, deep to my core

and I vow to dwell in this place forevermore.

Four

Your Word is my treasure.

I hold it close.

It gives me hope.

So Precious

So Sweet

Yet sobering

And sharp.

And daily the Spirit writes it upon my  heart.

It is what I prize

So active

So piercing

So ALIVE.

Five

Sanctify me in Your truth.

Your Word is truth.

You have my permission.

Here I am,

with unveiled face,

beholding the glory of the Lord.

Being transformed from one degree of glory to another

Until I can finally commune with You forever.
